Nissan Motor Co. is recalling about 841,000 Micra small cars and Cube MPVs to tighten the nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering column.

As the nut loosens, the steering wheel may wobble and eventually could come off, according to Nissan. Dealers will either tighten the bolt or replace the steering wheel. The company reports no accidents or injuries related to the defect.

The global campaign involves 133,900 Micras produced in Sunderland, England, and Cubes built in TK, Japan, between 2002 and 2006. (known as the March in Asia)

Cubes produced in Japan and/or the U.K. between 2002 and 2006 and sold in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Oceana.

Nissan doesn't sell the Micra in North America. The company has been unclear whether the recall includes Cubes sold in the region.
