Nissan Creates Post to Manage Plant-to-Customer Cost
Nissan Motor Co. has appointed Dan Bednarzyk to the newly created position of vice president of total delivered cost for the Americas, effective May 13.
Nissan Motor Co. has appointed Dan Bednarzyk to the newly created position of vice president of total delivered cost for the Americas, effective May 13.
He currently heads Nissan's assembly plant in Canton, Miss. That position will be filled by David Aldana, who had directed the company's auto plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
In his new role, Bednarzyk will look for ways to reduce total manufacturing costs associated with production materials and parts, labor, logistics and administration for Nissan's vehicle operations in North and South America.
Bednarzyk holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech University and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University. He joined Nissan as a manufacturing engineer in 1985.
