Nexteer to Open Electric Power Steering Plant in Morocco

Saginaw, Mich.-based Nexteer Automotive Group Ltd. will begin construction next month on a 194,000-sq-ft facility in Kenitra, Morocco.

Initially, Nexteer will use the facility to manufacture single pinion-assist electric power steering systems. The company plans to expand production to driveline products in the future.

Nexteer says the Moroccan plant will support customer operations in Africa and Europe. The facility will be the company’s 25th plant worldwide.
