The seventh-generation model will move to Subaru’s global platform, which also carries the Ascent, Crosstrek, Forester and Impreza. A teaser image indicates the new Legacy will maintain the basic design of the current model with updates that reflect the brand’s latest styling cues.

The interior will get a large, vertical infotainment touchscreen that incorporates controls for audio, HVAC, navigation, phone and third-party app functions.
Other goodies include heated and ventilated front seats.
Subaru builds the Legacy at its Lafayette, Ind., facility. The factory also assembles the Ascent, Impreza and Outback.
