Next-Gen Rolls-Royce Phantom Set for July Reveal

BMW AG’s Rolls-Royce unit will take the wraps off the redesigned Phantom ultra-luxury sedan on July 27.

The eighth-generation model will share an aluminum platform with several other new vehicles, including the marque’s first SUV. Power is expected to come from an unspecified V-12 engine.

Teaser images indicate the Phantom will get new headlight treatment but maintain Rolls-Royce’s signature grille. The interior shows a high-end wood instrument panel fitted with an analog clock.

Deliveries are expected to start in early 2018. Production of the outgoing Phantom ended earlier this year.
