Next-Gen Honda Odyssey to Bow in Detroit

Honda Motor Co. will take the wraps off its fifth-generation Odyssey minivan next month at the Detroit auto show.

The 2018 model, which is expected to bow next summer, will continue to ride on the light truck platform that carries Honda's Ridgeline midsize truck and Pilot large crossover. But the new minivan will get an exterior makeover, powertrain upgrades and an unspecified suite of “innovative features.”

A teaser sketch of the vehicle hints at a more sculpted, curvy body. The vehicle also looks lower and longer than the current Odyssey.
