Suzuki Motor Corp. confirms it will introduce its new C-segment crossover during the Geneva auto show in early March.

Suzuki has released teaser photos of the unnamed model, which rides on a new platform. The compact vehicle will be built at the company's plant in Esztergom, Hungary, and go on sale in Europe later this year.

The model's design closely resembles the S-Cross concept Suzuki unveiled last September at the Paris auto show. The company says the vehicle will have an "advanced" four-wheel-drive system and one of the largest cargo capacities in its segment.

Enthusiast magazines expect the model to be offered with a choice of gasoline and diesel engines, the latter supplied by Fiat SpA.

The model, which is just over 4.3 meters in length, is positioned between Suzuki's SX4 compact and Grand Vitara SUV. The new crossover will compete with the Hyundai ix35, Nissan Qashqai and Peugeot 3008.
