Seven new models have joined this year’s Consumer Reports list of the top 10 vehicles in the U.S. market. Toyota leads the pack with four models.

The newcomers to CR’s Top Pick list and their categories are the Audi A4 (luxury compact car), BMW X3 (luxury small SUV), Chevrolet Bolt (compact green car), Ford F-150 (full-size pickup truck) and Toyota’s Camry (midsize car), Corolla (compact car) and Sienna (minivan).

Repeat members of the list this year are the Chevrolet Impala (large car), Subaru Forester (compact SUV) and Toyota Highlander (midsize SUV).

To win a spot on CR’s list, a vehicle must compile a top score in the magazine’s road tests, predicted reliability ratings, safety assessment and owner satisfaction surveys. CR says vehicles that do so are “truly extraordinary.”
