Mitsubishi Teases Eclipse Crossover

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. has released a teaser image of the compact crossover vehicle it will publicly unveil at the Geneva auto show in March.

The vehicle, which is expected to resurrect the company’s Eclipse nameplate, will be positioned between the ASX and larger Outlander crossover/SUVs in the MItsubishi lineup. The Eclipse compact sports coupe was produced from 1989 to 2011.

The new crossover will compete against the Nissan Rogue Sport/Qashqai and Toyota C-HR. Styling cues will come from the XR-PHEV II concept Mitsubishi displayed at the 2015 Geneva show.
