The state of Michigan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Auto City to help Chinese tech companies set up operations in the state.

Gov. Rick Snyder says the move by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. will help develop each partner’s connected-vehicle infrastructure, expand research activities and encourage high-tech startups.
