Michelin Names Garcin to Head North American Unit

Michelin & Cie. has appointed Alexis Garcin as chairman and president of Michelin North America.

He succeeds Scott Clark, who has been promoted to executive vice president for global passenger car and light truck business, motorsports, the Michelin Guides and the Americas.

Garcin will relocate from Clermont-Ferrand, France, to Michelin’s North American headquarters in Greenville, S.C.

Garcin joined the French tiremaker 17 years ago and has held posts in marketing, sales and distribution in Europe and globally. His most recent post was senior vice president of Michelin’s global long distance transportation business products.
