The Mercedes-Benz brand surpassed Audi in worldwide sales last month but continues to trail rival BMW.
BMW sold nearly 149,700 vehicles in November, compared with 133,400 for Mercedes and 132,100 for Audi.
Results mark the fifth consecutive month in which sales growth at Mercedes outpaced rates for Audi and BMW. The brand's success has been driven by new or redesigned models, led by the A-Class and CLA small cars.
Still, Mercedes remains in third place for worldwide sales in the first 11 months of 2013. BMW, Audi and Mercedes sold 1.49 million, 1.44 million and 1.32 million vehicles, respectively, for the period, according to company reports.
