Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz unit is on track to overtake BMW AG’s namesake brand as the world’s best-selling premium vehicle marque this year.

Mercedes reports its car and crossover sales climbed 13% to 182,600 units last month, bringing the brand’s sales in January-November to 1.89 million vehicles, up 12%.

BMW-brand sales rose 6% to 177,700 units in November. Its volume through the first 11 months of 2016 gained 6% to 1.82 million units. Audi brand sales grew 4% to 154,100 units last month, hiking sales to 1.71 million vehicles over the same period.

Last year BMW sales totaled 1.91 million vehicles, capping the brand’s 11th consecutive year as the world’s highest-volume premium vehicle marque. Mercedes sales last year reached 1.87 million units, followed by Audi at 1.80 million.
