Mazda Names New CEO

Mazda Motor Corp. has chosen purchasing and production head Masamichi Kogai to become its president and CEO. He will formally be installed during the company's shareholder meeting in late June.

Takashi Yamanouchi, the current chairman, president and CEO, will continue as chairman.

Kogai previously held a series of manufacturing jobs, including head of production engineering and president of AutoAlliance Thailand Co., Mazda's joint venture with Ford Motor Co.
