Mazda Motor Corp. is evaluating ways to add all-wheel-drive capabilities to its Mazda3 and Mazda6 sedans.
The cars’ current front-wheel-drive platform with a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine can’t accommodate awd, Masahiro Moro, the head of the company's North American division, tells Australian website CarAdvice. Moro didn’t provide a timeline for when Mazda hoped to add awd or say how it would be achieved.
