Marchionne’s Compensation Tops €38 Million

Sergio Marchionne collected €38.7 million ($47.8 million) last year for his work as CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.
The company’s annual report shows that Marchionne’s base pay and bonuses for 2017 totaled €9.7 million ($12 million). He also received shares worth €29 million ($35.8 million) in recognition of the company’s industry-leading performance in 2014-2016.
FCA notes that during the three-year period Marchionne achieved all business plan and profit targets, while delivering a 280% shareholder return. The company says its results surpassed those of 10 other comparable carmakers.
