Canada’s Magna International Inc. and Beijing Hainachuan Automotive Parts Co. (BHAP) have formed a joint venture to produce door modules in China.

Canada’s Magna International Inc. and Beijing Hainachuan Automotive Parts Co. (BHAP) have formed a joint venture to produce door modules in China.

The partners plan to open a plant in Beijing that will employ more than 100 people. Production is due to start in 2021 for an unnamed German carmaker’s operations in China.
 

Founded in 2008, BHAP makes a variety of interior and exterior components, including seats, accessories, electronics and chassis systems. Last year the company posted sales of 51.2 billion yen ($470 million).
