The move is effective Nov. 1. Phil Collareno, Ford's executive director of North America and global product programs, will succeed Tobin on an interim basis.
Tobin, 53, joined Ford in 1989. Prior to his current job, which he’s held for about seven years, Tobin was vehicle line director for Ford cars and crossover vehicles in North America. He also held senior positions at Ford of Europe, including vice president of quality and chief engineer of powertrain applications.
At Lincoln, Tobin helped overhaul the brand’s product portfolio. Recent introductions include the MKZ midsize sedan, MKC small crossover and the redesigned Navigator SUV, which won the 2018 North American Truck of the Year award.
