South Korea's Fair Trade Commission has fined Bosch, Continental and Denso a combined 115 billion won ($108 million) for fixing prices on parts they sold to Hyundai Motor Corp. between 2008 and 2012, Reuters reports.
Affected components include instrument panels and windshield wiper systems. The parts were installed in some 11 million vehicles, according to the commission.
The Korean fines are the latest in a global investigation into price fixing that has levied $1.6 billion in fines against 20 companies in the U.S. alone. The worldwide probe also has uncovered other multi-year conspiracies to control the prices of seatbelts, radiators, air-conditioning systems and wiring harnesses.
