Kia Motors Corp. aims to sell 270,000 of its third-generation Sorento crossover vehicles worldwide next year.
The redesigned model, which was introduced in South Korea earlier today, will be unveiled to the European market at the Paris auto show in early October. It will go on sale in overseas markets in the first half of 2015.
Kia describes the three-row Sorento as longer, lower and wider and with a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. The vehicles "more mature" styling was inspired by the Kia Cross GT concept unveiled last year at the Chicago auto show, according to the company.
The redesign features Kia's new "tiger-nose" grille, a higher beltline and a roof that is half an inch lower than the previous model.
