In December Kia Motors Corp. will begin recalling 79,900 Sedona minivans produced during the 2006-2012 model years to check front suspension parts that could corrode and break.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall will include vehicles in Washington, D.C., and 20 snow-belt states where roads are salted during the winter.
Kia dealers will either rustproof or replace the affected parts.
