Jaguar Land Rover has appointed Joe Eberhardt president of its North American operations, effective immediately.
Eberhardt will lead JLR's marketing, sales and service operations in the U.S. and Canada. He reports to Andy Goss, group sales operations director for the Tata Motors Ltd.-owned company.
Eberhardt previously held sales and marketing posts with Mercedes-Benz U.S.A. and DaimlerChrysler. He resigned from the latter carmaker at the end of 2006 amid dealer complaints that the company was maintaining abnormally high production rates by loading them up with vehicles they hadn't ordered.
