Tata Motors Ltd.'s Jaguar Land Rover unit is shuffling its management structure to eliminate the title of global brand director and strengthen the roles of global sales and marketing chiefs.

Andy Goss, president of JLR's North America unit, is appointed director of group sales operations and a member of the company's executive committee. He will oversee global sales and customer service for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

The company says it will name a new North America chief later.

Goss succeeds Phil Popham, who will become director of group sales operations with responsibility for global marketing of the unit's two marques.

JLR named Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, to as group strategy director. John Edwards, currently global brand director for Land Rover, will get an unspecified new job, according to the company.

The changes take effect on Oct. 1.
