JLR Hires BMW Exec to Head Production

Tata Motors Ltd.'s Jaguar Land Rover unit has hired Wolfgang Stadler to succeed Paul Cope as its manufacturing director, effective Sept. 30.

Tata Motors Ltd.'s Jaguar Land Rover unit has hired Wolfgang Stadler to succeed Paul Cope as its manufacturing director, effective Sept. 30.

Stadler has spent 30 years at BMW AG, most recently as head of that company's 5, 6 and 7 Series assembly plant in Dingolfing, Germany. He also is a past managing director of BMW South Africa.

Stadler, who will report to JLR CEO Ralf Speth, will be responsible for JLR's three plants in the U.K., new factory in India and upcoming facility in China.
