Images of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV’s Gladiator midsize pickup truck—in a crew cab configuration—have been leaked on the internet ahead of the vehicle’s official unveiling later this month at the Los Angeles auto show.

Styling cues are borrowed from the Wrangler SUV with which the Gladiator shares a platform. The 2020-model will feature a 5-ft steel bed with integrated tie-downs and a covered power outlet, according to JeepGladiatorForums.com, which was renamed this month after the Gladiator name was leaked.

A spec sheet briefly posted on FCA’s media site indicates the vehicle will be powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with automatic stop-start capability. A 3.0-liter V-6 diesel option is expected to be added later.

Two transmissions will be available: an 8-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual. Other features include a pair of off-road 4×4 systems, Dana axles with electric locking capability, a limited-slip differential and what’s described as a segment-exclusive electronic sway bar disconnect with 33-inch off-road tires, according to the report.

Towing and payload capacities are listed at 7,650 lbs and 1,600 lbs, respectively, both of which are said to be best in class. The Gladiator also will have “unmatched” crawl ratios and be able to ford through 30 inches of water.
