JCI Names Molinari as CEO
Alex Molinari, vice chairman of Johnson Controls Inc., has been appointed as the company's president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.
Alex Molinari, vice chairman of Johnson Controls Inc., has been appointed as the company's president and CEO, effective Oct. 1. He will become chairman on Jan. 1.
Molinari succeeds CEO Stephen Roell, who will remain chairman until he retires at year-end. Roell's 32-year JCI career includes six years as chief executive and five years as chairman.
Molinari joined the company in 1983. He headed JCI's battery unit from 2007 until becoming vice chair in January. Molinari will be the company's ninth CEO in its 129-year history.
