Nissan Motor Co.’s Infiniti luxury brand will reveal a “sexy” concept car at the Detroit auto show in January that’s expected to preview an all-new flagship sedan.
Describing the concept as “super nice,” design boss Alfonso Albaisa tells Car and Driver that the vehicle will benefit from styling flexibility made possible from unspecified new technologies. Other media reports speculate the vehicle will be an electrified sedan with coupe-like styling.
Infiniti’s last true flagship sedan was the Q45, which was discontinued in 2006. The marque’s stylish 2014 Q80 concept also hinted at a future flagship model. Although a production version of that vehicle never came to fruition, virtually every other Infiniti concept since then has gone into production, C and D notes.
