Infiniti Concept Previews Upcoming Electric Crossover

Nissan Motor Co.’s Infiniti arm says its latest concept will provide the basis for an electric crossover vehicle the company plans to launch early next decade.

The concept will be unveiled next month at the Detroit auto show in celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary. A darkened teaser image indicates the vehicle will sport a muscular stance with smooth lines.

The concept’s platform is expected to provide the basis for a variety of next-generation Infiniti electrified vehicles—including full electric, parallel-hybrid and extended-range series-hybrid models. Infiniti previously announced plans to electrify its entire lineup by 2021.
