Hyundai’s New SUV Named Palisade

Hyundai Motor Co. confirms previous reports that it will call its new large SUV/crossover the Palisade, which will be unveiled later this month at the Los Angeles auto show.

Named after coastal cliffs in California, the Palisade replaces the smaller Santa Fe in Hyundai’s lineup. The 2020 model will have three rows of seating and share a platform with the upcoming Kia Telluride SUV.

Power is expected to come from a 3.3-liter V-6 engine. A hybrid-electric variant also is said to be in the works.
