Hyundai Motor Co. reports its unit sales in April slid 6% year on year to 368,900 cars and SUV/crossover vehicles.
The company reports its domestic sales in South Korea climbed 12% to 7,400 units, thanks largely to new models. But sales overseas shrank 9% to 297,500 vehicles because of slumping demand in China and India.
Hyundai sales in the U.S. last month rose 2% to 57,000 units. The company also says sales advanced by unspecified amounts in Russia and South America.
