Hyundai Motor Co. has named Claudia Marquez to take over as CEO of its Mexico unit on Nov. 1.

She succeeds Jeong Gou Lee, who has held the CEO job for the past three years. He will continue as her executive advisor, Automotive News reports.

Marquez, who has nearly 25 years of experience in the auto industry, most recently headed U.S. sales and vehicle operations for Nissan Motor Co. Previous assignments included director of sales operations for Nissan’s Infiniti luxury brand in Mexico and Latin America and director of sales in Mexico for BMW AG.

Marquez will report to Jose Munoz, another Nissan expatriate, who quit in January as chief performance officer and was hired to be Hyundai’s chief operating officer in May.
