Honda Accord, Volvo XC60, Lincoln Navigator Win N. American Vehicle Awards

The Honda Accord sedan, Lincoln Navigator SUV and Volvo XC60 crossover vehicle were named 2018 North American Vehicles of the Year by a panel of 60 American and Canadian automotive journalists.
The midsize Accord edged out longtime rival Toyota Camry and the all-new Kia Stinger sportback in the car category. Previous-generation Accords were finalists for the award in 2008 and 2013.
In the truck segment, the Navigator beat out the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 pickup and Ford Expedition. The other finalists for Utility Vehicle of the Year were the Alfa Stelvio and Honda Odyssey minivan.
To be eligible, a vehicle must be redesigned or substantially changed and be on sale in North America by the start of 2018. The winners were announced in conjunction with the opening of the Detroit auto show.
