Hino Trucks N. America Appoints New CEO

Toyota Motor Corp.’s Hino Trucks affiliate has named Shigehiro Matsuoka as CEO and president of the company’s North American operations.

He succeeds Yoshinori Noguchi, who held the position for six years. The company, which makes Class 4-8 commercial trucks, posted six straight years of record sales in the region during Noguchi’s tenure.

Matsuoka joined Hino in 1981. He most recently led the company’s aftermarket and logistics operations. In his new role, he will focus on expanding into the Class 8 segment and launching full-scale production at Hino’s recently acquired production facility in West Virginia.
