Ramzi Hermiz has been elected chairman of the Michigan-based Original Equipment Manufacturers Assn.

He succeeds Mike Mansuetti, president of Robert Bosch LLC, in the one-year position.

Hermiz (pictured) is CEO of Shiloh Industries Inc., an Ohio-based supplier of lightweighting solutions for vehicle bodies, chassis and propulsion systems. During his six years in the post, Hermiz doubled the company’s revenue to $1 billion, broadened its customer base and expanded the company’s operations into Europe and Asia.

OESA was founded 20 years ago to champion the business interests and concerns of auto suppliers to carmakers and government bodies. The association is part of the Washington, D.C.-based Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Assn.
