Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Henniges Automotive Holdings Inc., which makes sealing and anti-vibration products, has opened a 79,500 sq-ft facility in Suzhou, China.
The factory is Henniges’ seventh in China and will produce thermoplastic and traditional rubber sealing components. The company, which was acquired by China’s AVIC Automotive Systems Holding Co. in 2015, says it could double the size of the new plant if necessary to meet future growth demands.
Next year Henniges plans to open a manufacturing facility in South America and expand an engineering facility in Europe. The company now has 23 facilities worldwide, including five research and development centers and 18 production sites.
