Hella Breaks Ground for New U.S. Tech, Administrative Center

Hella GmbH has begun constructing a new U.S. headquarters near Plymouth, Mich., and plans to move into the 115,000 sq-ft facility in early 2019.

The 11-acre site, which is located only a few miles from Hella’s current U.S. headquarters, is expected to expand its workforce to 400 from the company’s current 350-member staff.

The technical side of the new facility will focus on electronics and advanced lighting products. The building also will house Hella’s North American finance, purchasing, sales and IT activities.
