Ferrari NV could add an unspecified new model to its current four-car lineup, CEO Sergio Marchionne says.
Ferrari currently markets the California, GTC4 Lusso, 812 Superfast and 488 supercars. But Marchionne notes customers are increasingly frustrated with the short supply and waiting period for current Ferrari models. He says the company is losing potential buyers to rival Lamborghini because of it.
Marchionne didn’t indicate what options Ferrari is evaluating or offer a time frame for a decision or possible new-model launch. The supercar maker sold slightly more than 8,000 vehicles last year. The company targets a sales increase of about 500 units this year.
