Market consultancy J.D. Power has named David Habiger as its new president and CEO, effective immediately.
The 49-year-old succeeds Finbarr O’Neill, who announced his retirement last October after a decade as head of the company. O’Neill will continue as a senior advisor.
Power says Habiger will make an undisclosed but “significant” investment in the company as evidence of his confidence about further expanding the business. He is past CEO of companies that developed and marketed software for construction management, security and consumer applications. He also is a longtime member of SAE International.
In his new role, Habiger will guide Power’s global short- and long-term strategies, help further the company’s digitization and guide a move into the consumer market.
