GM’s Board Adds eBay’s CEO

General Motors Co. had added Devin Wenig, CEO of online selling service eBay, to its board of directors.

Wenig’s appointment will be confirmed by shareholders on June 12, bringing the board’s membership to 11. GM CEO Mary Barra says Wenig, 51, will contribute expertise in global operations, technology, strategic planning and the digital marketplace.

Wenig has served as eBay’s CEO since mid-2015. He is a former CEO of financial news service Thomson Reuters Markets LLC.
