GM to Open Regional Headquarters in Singapore
General Motors Co. plans to open an office in Singapore next spring to serve as headquarters for its operations in India, southeast Asia, South Korea, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Those regions currently are covered from an office in Shanghai. In August GM restructured its overseas businesses to create a separate unit for China, whose headquarters will remain in Shanghai.
