More than one-third of General Motors Co. dealers in the U.S. are using or signing up to participate in the company's new online shopping tool for consumers.
Called Shop-Click-Drive, the tool enables shopping to use a Web site to choose a GM vehicle, get a price estimate, check for sales incentives, apply for financing and line up car insurance. Buyers take delivery of their vehicles at a GM dealership.
The company says the system has facilitated the sale of more than 1,800 Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles since GM launched it nationally in early November.
