GM Sales Jump Nearly 14% in China
General Motors Co. says its partnerships in China sold a record 277,600 vehicles in China last month compared with 244,200 units in September 2012.

Demand for GM's Buick lineup climbed 14% to 71,000 units. Sales rose 2% to 57,300 units for Chevrolet and 74% to 4,500 units for Cadillac.
Vehicles made by the company's Shanghai GM joint venture advanced 11% to 132,800 units in September. Its SAIC-GM-Wuling partnership boosted sales 17% to 139,700 units. FAW-GM's volume grew 3% to 4,700 units.
For the first nine months of 2012, GM's sales in China rose 11% to a record 2.31 million units. Demand for Wuling brand vehicles advanced 10% to 1.09 million units. Buick rose 18% to 606,300, and Chevrolet improved 4% to 472,600. Cadillac cars zoomed 51% to 32,200 units.
