GM Names New Treasurer

General Motors Co. has appointed Niharika Tashkar Ramdev as its vice president of finance and treasurer, effective April 1.

Tashkar Ramdev, 44, has been chief financial officer for GM's global purchasing and supply chain operations for the past two and a half years. She also is a former regional treasurer for GM International Operations.

Her duties will include global capital planning, capital market activities, worldwide banking, risk management and investor relations.

She replaces Jim Davlin, who will stay on as an advisor through October before leaving the company.
