Hourly employees of General Motors Co.'s South Korean unit have approved a new one-year accord by a narrow margin after two weeks of mini-strikes.
Under the contract, GM guarantees job security to union members and agrees to pay each worker a 10 million-won bonus ($8,800), according to Reuters. It says walkouts this month cost the company 124 hours of vehicle production.
