GM tells the news service the lower output is a response to sluggish sales in Europe. Chevrolet volume in that region fell 39% in January and February, nearly four times the drop in the overall market.
The Gunsan factory, which makes the Chevrolet Cruze compact car and Orlando small MPV, has annual capacity of 260,000 vehicles.
