GM Confirms Top-End RWD Sedan for 2015

General Motors Co. confirms its Cadillac luxury brand will debut a new rear-wheel-drive sedan late next year to top its product lineup.

The car was inspired by the Elmiraj concept GM unveiled in California a year ago at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance auto event.

Cadillac's sales in the U.S. this year are down 2% in a market that has grown 5% overall. Its 12.7% share of the American luxury vehicle market compares with a 13.5% share last year, according to Autodata Corp.
