Ford Motor Co. formally begins production of the restyled 2015 Mustang sport coupe at its factory in Flat Rock, Mich. The car will go on sale in the U.S. in November.
The new model has been tailored for global sales, including the marque's first independent rear suspension and first-ever right-hand-drive iteration.
Engines will range from a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder unit rated at 310 hp to the company's familiar 5.0-liter, 435-hp V-8.
Ford plans to offer the Mustang in more than 120 countries, including 25 right-hand-drive markets. All models worldwide will be sourced from the Flat Rock factory.
