GKN Driveline is preparing to open a 5,000-sq-meter factory in Togliatti, Russia, to supply constant velocity jointed sideshafts for carmakers in the area.
GKN Driveline is preparing to open a 5,000-sq-meter factory in Togliatti, Russia, to supply constant velocity jointed sideshafts for carmakers in the area.
Production will begin in early 2015, according to the company, which is a part of British engineering company GKN plc.
GKN already imports driveline components to Russia. The Togliatti factory will be its first to make the parts locally. GKN did not indicate the cost or capacity of the new facility.
