Chassix Inc., a Southfield, Mich.-based supplier of aluminum and cast iron casting machined chassis, powertrain and sub-frame components, has appointed Andreas Weller as president and CEO, effective immediately.

Weller succeeds Chief Financial Officer Michael Beyer, who had been serving as interim CEO since September. Beyer moved into interim role after former CEO Doug DelGrosso left Chassix to head seating giant Adient plc.

Weller joins Chassix from ZF, where he most recently served as president of the company’s Asia-Pacific operations. Prior to ZF’s 2016 acquisition of TRW, Weller was responsible for TRW's commercial steering systems business. He previously worked for Dana, Webasto and Boston Consulting.

Chassix filed for and emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2015. The company has made several recent international investments with plans to grow in China and Europe.
