Former Skoda Exec to Head VW Sales in U.S.

Volkswagen AG has appointed Duncan Movassaghi to lead its namesake brand in the U.S., effective Feb. 1.

Movassaghi will replace Ron Stach, who left the company last week to pursue other opportunities, according to the company. Stach had served as Volkswagen of America’s senior vice president since March 2016.

Movassaghi, who most recently was managing director of the carmaker’s Skoda unit’s U.K. operations, joined VW in 2010. He has an engineering degree from Cambridge University and previously worked in the pharmaceutical and banking sectors.
